The Bioprogramme Company was incorporated in 1993 in Sofia, Bulgaria. Its managing Director is the former Chairman of the Bulgarian Association of Herbalists and Mushroom Gatherers and Growers. The head office of the company is in the village of Dobroslavtsi, which is located in the vicinity of Sofia and is known as an ecologically clean area without industrial contaminations.

As of date, BIOPROGRAMME is a leading producer of tea and is among the leading producers of packed herbs for the pharmaceutical network in Bulgaria. In addition to the above, Bioprogramme is one of the leading Bulgarian exporters of herbs, dried fruit and spices as raw materials for the pharmaceuticals, cosmetics and foodstuffs industries in Western Europe and the USA.

In order to guarantee the quality of our products, in 2001 we successfully completed our certification as per ISO 9001-2000.

The company is also working on the implementation of the quality management system .
In 2002, with the aid of the German certification and control organization INAC GmbH (member of the group of ECOCERT of France) we certified some of the areas, where we gather our raw materials as ecologically clean. As a result of the above, we have been able to export for three years organic herbs with guaranteed origin and to design a series of ecological herbal teas.

In 2003 we commissioned into operation German machines from Franz Sagemuller, Winniker and Liber and Veight for moisturizing, cutting (including into squares) and sieving of herbs and spices. In order to prevent the appearance of metal particles in the cut raw materials, we added a metal detector to the production line. The optimum technical parameters of these machines guarantee the high quality of our raw materials, which makes them well-accepted by our foreign clients, as well as good enough to be input into our final products. For the packing of the teas and the other products of Bioprogramme, we use contemporary Italian and German machines in order to achieve high quality for our products.

We monitor and control the production process in detail from the growing and gathering of the raw materials up to the production of the final product. BIOPROGRAMME has its own laboratory.

In 1993 we started with 4 types of tea, by now we are producing a wide range of more than 60 types of tea, which can be divided into four basic groups: table single-herb teas, mixed herbal teas, medicative teas and fruit teas, some of which are packed in boxes of 20 filter packs, while others are packed in boxes of 25 filter packs with an attached string. One of the newest designs of the Bioprogramme Company is a series of coarse cut and packed in clear polypropylene bags fruit teas.

We also recently introduced in the same packing Mursalian (Pirin) tea, the raw material for which we cultivate ourselves.

In 2003 Bioprogramme introduced in the pharmaceutical network more than 60 types of packed herbs. In order to provide for their longer shelf life and better retention of their medicative properties, they are not only sealed in paper bags, but are also placed in carton boxes, sealed in thermal-shrinking foil.

In 2004 we created a series of nourishment additives called Bioprogramme Live, which enjoys great demand in the pharmaceutical network. This series consists of three types of products tinctures: Golden Root (Rhodiola rosea) and Levurda (Allium ursinum), herbal substances in gelatin capsules: Cats Claws (Uncaria tomentosa), Palma Sabal (Serenoa repens) and Valerian & Hops (Valeriana officinalis L. & Humulus lupulus L.) and natural extract from grapefruits - Biocitrin . High concentration of natural components is characteristic for these products.

Our aim to make accessible to the clients our knowledge of the medicative properties of the herbal teas, nourishment additives and herbs as a whole and to improve their lifestyle in a healthy and natural way by reducing the adverse effects of our daily life.

BIOPROGRAMME has already created its own traditions in the production and sales of herbs and herbal products and has proven its reliability as a business partner on the Bulgarian and international markets.

The generally acknowledged quality of our products has earned the company numerous awards and honors both in Bulgaria and throughout the world.
