The plant as a whole contains an essential oil composed of vinylsulphide, divinylsulphide, allin pipecolinic acid, mercaptan traces, etc. Moreover, it contains a significant amount of vitamin C (particularly in the leaves) and highly effective phytoncides with potent bactericidal and fungicidal properties exceeding those of garlic and horse-radish.
Recommended daily dosage: Take orally 0,5- 1 tsp in a glass of water 15 to 30 minutes before meals.
