Composition: The vial contains a tincture of marigold flower (Calendula officinalis L.).

Recommended daily dosage: Internal use: 25-30 drops in a glass of water or juice before meals, 3 times a day. In case of illness: the same dosage each 1-2 hours.
Prophylaxis: 6-8 weeks with an interruption of 2-3 weeks.
External use: the tincture should be diluted with boiled water at a ratio 1:3, and applied 3-4 times a day.
The marigold petals are widely used both in Bulgarian folk medicine and in countries around the world due to their numerous beneficial effects on the organism. The marigold petals have a rich biological composition: they contain triterpenoid saponins called calenduloses, sterols such as sitosterol, calendin, carotenoids, vitamic C, flavonoids, etc. Calenduloses, flavonoids and carotenoids are the compounds which account for the major effects of this herb, i.e. antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory, wound healing and epithelizing.

• Marigold has been found to have a very good effect, aiding the treatment of various disorders of the gastrointestinal tract mucous such as gastritis, ulcer disease, enteritis, colitis.
• The good effect of marigold has been known in diseases of the gall-bladder and biliary tract, and also in chronic inflammation of the liver, and hepatitis.
• Marigold has a mild sedative effect in nervous tension, fatigue, stress reactions, migraine, neuroses during climacterium. It lowers the reflectory excitation.
• External use: compresses with marigold tincture are recommended for bruising with ruptured blood vessels, decubitus wounds, swellings and extended muscles.

Contraindications: Not recommended for use by pregnant or breastfeeding women, or by children under the age of 12 years.
